Floods, Earthquakes, and Natural Disasters. Oh, my!
Floods, Earthquakes, and Natural disasters. Oh, my!
(and your insurance coverage)
In this episode, Deanne discusses storms and other acts of nature and how they impact your insurance coverage.
In a previous episode, we discussed March, coming in like a lion and out like a lamb. I picked the wine for today because of the label. It has a pretty furious lion pictured on the front, so it caught my attention. It's called Juggernaut (which refers to a huge, powerful, and overwhelming force.)
Juggernaut is often a term used to describe organizations or groups, but it fits our storm theme just perfectly. That’s what a storm is, and individuals have to overcome some of the most destructive forces when they experience one.
In this episode, we spend the most time talking about flooding because flooding can happen to anyone. We will also touch on hurricanes, tornadoes, and earthquakes.
When many people think about flooding, they think about living near water—but that’s not always the case. Damage can also result from sewer and drain backups. More on that to come.
Tornadoes are prominent in some parts of the Midwest, including Dayton, Ohio. Earthquakes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters can upend lives and cause difficult financial strain.
